CooperVision offers a broad range of contact lenses. The company is world leading in manufacturing toric contact lenses for patients suffering from astigmatism, but other types of lenses are available as well, including lenses for people who want to alter the color of their eyes.

Toric lenses: The soft toric lenses that CooperVision offers are made in Rochester, New York. In addition to this, they make custom toric lenses and sphere lenses in Huntington Beach, California, and planned replacement lenses in Hampshire, England. Toric contact lenses manufactured by CooperVision include the Frequency 55 Toric and the Encore Toric.

Esthetic lenses: The prime feature is Expression lenses that produce a more natural, realistic eye color change. CooperVision also provides Natural Touch opaque lenses.

In 2004 CooperVision acquired Ocular Sciences Inc., a company that manufactures three different contact lenses: Biomedics 38, Biomedics 55 and Biomedics 55 Premier.

Background and history of CooperVision

CooperVision was founded in 1979 and is a division of CooperCompanies. The other division of CooperCompanies is CooperSurgical, which is a company that supplies medical devices, surgical instruments, diagnostic products, and accessories that are mainly used by obstetricians and gynecologists.

CooperVision is based in Irvine, California, but has factories all over the world.
